Puppy Contract
An overview of the terms that will appear in the final agreement for future White Oak puppy families.
Identification of the Puppy
The contract will identify the puppy by registered or call name, sex, color, date of birth, microchip number when applicable, sire, dam, and AKC registration information.
Purchase and Payment Terms
The final agreement will state the purchase price, deposit terms, payment schedule, refund conditions, and pickup arrangements.
AKC Registration
The contract will state whether registration is limited or full and explain any breeding, showing, or transfer restrictions.
Buyer Commitments
- Provide a safe, loving, and appropriate lifelong home.
- Maintain veterinary care, identification, grooming, training, and preventive health care.
- Use humane, reward-based care and training methods.
- Keep White Oak Goldens informed of major health or placement changes.
- Never surrender the dog to a shelter without first contacting White Oak Goldens.
Health Guarantee
The signed contract will incorporate the complete health guarantee, required veterinary examination period, covered conditions, exclusions, documentation rules, and remedies.
Return-to-Breeder Provision
If the buyer can no longer keep the dog at any point in its life, White Oak Goldens must be contacted before the dog is sold, surrendered, rehomed, or transferred.
Breeding and Transfer Terms
Any restrictions regarding breeding, transfer of ownership, or registration will be stated clearly in the final agreement.
Signatures
The completed contract will be signed and dated by the breeder and buyer, and each party will receive a copy.
